For the past three weeks, I've been in Singapore. Work sent me here on short notice, but this is my fourth trip to Singapore and I like it here so it's not that bad. The hardest part is being away from friends and family, and also all my costuming stuff! I was working on a lot of things right up until I left, so I feel almost frustrated being away from everything! I've been playing around with a new skill: molding and casting. It's something I've been interested in for years, so last month I finally took a workshop to learn how to make silicone molds and cast items out of resin. I have so many ideas for things that I want to make now! The first project I've embarked on is making replicas of the ice axe from the new Tomb Raider game. My friend Jenn has the original axe, so we've been working together on the project. Last weekend I did my first Lara Croft photo shoot in over a year. I was lucky enough to arrive home in Australia with 10 days left to enter the Lara Croft Cosplay.com contest, and despite my computer breaking down (and thanks to my awesome friend Jenn for saving me!) I was able to enter a picture.
